My Story.
Hello! Welcome to my blog. My name is Katie, i’m twenty four and I love all things fitness.
Now, this wasn’t the case for many years and my fitness journey has been rocky for years. Let’s keep this short and sweet..
Since I was about 18 i’ve always had issues with my body. I always felt like the bigger one out of all my friends. University and it’s lifestyle with it made me incredibly unhealthy. I was depressed, unhappy with how I looked and unhappy with my fitness level. I just wanted to change my life, I wanted to get healthy, I wanted to start up running again, I wanted to set myself challenges and become the best version of myself.
Fast forwarding to now..
Last year I completed numerous 10k’s all in training for a big challenge for me.. Cardiff Half Marathon. Never in a million years did I think I would complete 13.1 miles, but I did. It didn’t matter what time I did it in, I just wanted to complete it (this year however i’m challenging myself to be quicker). I have numerous events coming up this year.. I have a few 10k’s, two half marathons, a Duathlon and Triathlon. Pushing myself to see what my body is capable of. I am currently feeling like the best version of myself.
I hope this has given you an insight into my story and hopefully inspired you!
I hope that you enjoy reading, watching and supporting my journey.

SWIM – BIKE – RUN

I’ve always love to swim, especially as a child and into my teenage years. I’ve always been a water baby and swimming comes fairly naturally to me. Currently concentrating on improving my technique ready for my very first Triathlon.

The bike has never been something that has come naturally to me. It’s taken me a good few sessions to finally feel comfortable on the bike and I really do enjoy it. Currently improving with longer rides and with a turbo trainer on the way, i’m hoping to start racking the miles up ready for my Duathlon.

Running, my favourite out of the three. I love running, forever introducing different sessions into my training, upping my distance and of course, introducing some speed work. I love how easy and accessible running is. It clears my mind and makes me feel great.

Get Fit ANYWHERE!
You don’t need a fancy gym membership to keep fit and healthy. Although the gym has brilliant equipment that can benefit you tremendously throughout your fitness journey, it’s not vital to keep fit.
I am forever doing quick workouts in my living room. It’s the little things that count the most!
Also.. RUNNING IS COMPLETELY FREE! I highly recommend couch to 5k to get you started. It gradually gets you running/walking in a good amount of time without injuring yourself.
